Act 3 recommended level

So my party is a level 7, and the game tells me "dangerous for a party at your level) when I am ready to go to Baldur's Gate, but I don't see ♥♥♥♥ else for me to do. What's a good level to reach before proceeding?

I'm 8 and never got that message so... 8? Ran into fights(I'm early into it) and I seem to get by fine. Try to hit 8 and go for it and can't find anything just go I suppose.

I'm just about level 9 when I got to baulders gate, I took on the boss fights for act 2 prematurely, I was only level 6/7 and it was a tough fight so I ended up reloading to before the nightingale trail and I went back and did all off the mountain pass missions (I did the underpass orginally). I also explored as much of all the maps as possible and turns out I missed a fair whack of content. It's kind of taught me to throughly explore in this game as it doesn't hold your hand at all or let you know if you've missed anything, which is awesome but certainly a learning curve for me.

did nearly everything, 55xp to go until lvl 10 and act3

If you can beat Myrkuls chosen you can do act 3 imo

Level 9 here. Beat Act 2 Boss easy enough but just trying to walk the bridge to Act 3 getting jumped has been a hard fight. I've had to reload and try 3 times. I haven't tried front loading my party with the knowledge of getting jumped (like more than normal pre buffing, hiding, gaining advantage, placing everyone in ideal spots knowing how the ambush happens)...

And I had to run a search on this to see if I should level up at least once more. I'm playing on balanced mode with my Tav (Paly 5 / Bard 4), shadowheart (respected as tempest cleric), astarion, and gale...

I did everything I could and I was L7 entering Act 2 and L10 entering Act3.

Level 7 is the end of Act I. There is likely stuff you can do in Act II to level up.

same, got to lvl7 before reaching act2 - now on Moonrise towers.
