OK first im gonna say you will need to save scum its impossible with out.
You will need both npc characters.
(CHANGE SHADOWS SPELL TO HAVE COMMAND)
(equip ranged attack crossbow)
(must also pick up exsplosive container next to shadow hearts pod)
(mind flair = squid, boss = boss, minions = dk1/dk2)
OK dk1 and dk2 enter the fight around turn 10 so you don't want to kill the boss two early.

Enter the boss room. (preferably you want the boss two miss the squid)

-turn 1-
kill imp and fire boar (WITHOUT USING SHADOW HEART)
Shadow heart runs forward and commands boss to drop weapon.
Squid hits boss (10-20d) (you can get 30 if your very lucky)

-turn 2-
Squid gets hit for around 6d/miss
you use dash on both fighter and your self to move the containers on the left and right towards the boss/squid.
Move container out of inventory and place next to squid with other 3
shadow heart hits last imp with sacred flame/fireball. (1-10d) (Try killing it)
Squid hits boss (10-20d)

-turn-3
Squid gets hit for around 6d/miss
Move all next to boss.
Pick up and equip sword.(you/fighter)
shadow heart hits boss with sacred flame. (1-8d)(yes i know fire ball dose more damage but he has resistance so max you can do is 5d)
Attack with character that didn't equip sword. (go for highest dp and keep in mind his resistances)
Squid hits boss (10-20d)

-turn- 4
Ok boss should be around 72-118 health and squid should be 70-86
Squid gets hit for around 6dp/miss
Flame sword wielder hits (7-14dp)
Non flame sword wielder hits for most dp
shadow heart hits boss with sacred flame. (1-8d)
Squid hits boss (10-20d)

-turn-5
Squid gets hit for around 6dp/miss
OK Dk1 and dk2 should be entering the fight and takes 1 or 2 turns two enter the main room.
shadow heart and non sword wielder push up and kill the 2 imps and boar over next turn.
Flame sword wielder hits (7-14dp)
Squid hits boss (10-20d)

-turn- 6
Now you go up towards the console with your character and stay till dk1/dk2 start attacking squid. (can do this over the turn 6-7)
After killing all the cannon fodder move shadow and fighter tow right side stairs in crouched position.(ALL CHARACTERS MUST BE CROUCHED BEFORE DK1/DK2 GET TO CLOSS OR THEY WILL TARGET YOU)
Squid gets hit for around 6dp/miss
Squid hits boss (10-20d)

-turn- 7
Now boss should be low and squid should have around 60-70hp.
Dk1 dk2 should be in the room and about to fly at squid next turn.
Keep boss alive till Dk1 dk2 hit squid.
Squid gets hit for around 6dp/miss
Squid hits boss (10-20d)

-turn- 8
Dk1 and dk2 hit squid,(0-20dp)
Squid or you Kills Boss with ranged attack from stairs.
Shadow heart command dk1 or dk2 drop weapon.
Your character moves from consul into range and shoots arrow or spell at dk1 or 2. (1-4) (If you have necrotic or force spells use them)
Squid hits Dk1 or Dk2 (10-20d)

-Turn- 9
Dk1 and dk2 hit squid,(0-20dp)
shadow heart hits dk1 or dk2 with sacred flame. (1-8dp) (Note should go after the same one as the boss)
Fighter shoots bolt at Dk1 or DK2. (1-4dp)
you shoot bolt at Dk1 or DK2. (1-4dp)
Squid hits Dk1 or Dk2 (10-20d)

and repeat that till one of dk dies and the reaming dk and squid are both around 25hp or lower then blow the 4 explosive next to them and you should have around 2-3 turns left.

You should get 3 sets of heavy armour the flame sword 2 tridents some gems/ingots 500ish gold and some potions

For some reason it says that only 0.1% have killed the demon on the ship. I'm guessing people gave up or just didn't bother. While I did complete the battle, I was playing as ranger.

The main difference is that I used the pods in the room. The explosion actually missed the squid and only hurt the demon strangely enough. Shadow healed and buffed the squid while everyone else hit .Us, the little brain, would land 3 damage more consistently than my characters. As ranger I sniped the second wave of enemies and ran for the controls. By turn 9 or 8 we had him dead and the new demon approached. I grabbed sword with gith and transferred to my character.

I think the main problem is that the commander has high Dex and Con, meaning saving throws are almost nothing to him, resistances to everything, and mammoth health. I'm impressed you killed the second wave. If I'm feeling lucky might try that too on Barb run.

All you need to do is use the throw ability to toss a bottle of Haste on the Mindflayer and he will get two attacks per turn and will usually take out the command just as the two other tieflings are entering. Clear everything else, pick at the commander with ranged attacks which almost never hit and keep a guy near the console, wait for the commander to die then grab the sword with someone that has disengage and wait long enough for the two tieflings to kill the squid so you can take the XP with you then use the guy at the console to punch out.

Depending upon the rolls the squid gets you might have to save scum but you have 15 turns so I think if you just wait and see what happens you really don't need to.

I guess trophy being bugged is another possibility.
It really depends on your party, but...

Playing as Shadowheart, along with at least two other casters with access to the Command spell, you can...

Command Zhalk to drop his sword, then pick it up.

Buff the Mindflayer with Protection From Evil and Good and also Shield of Faith.

When tbe other two cambions appear, Command them to drop their weapons as well and then retrieve them.

Let the Mindflayer deal the majority of the damage, but be rdy to cap all opponents with tbe final blow, including the Mindflayer.

The Potion of Speed idea is cool, I hadn't thought of that! :steamhappy:
