Shadowheart and wolves
Anyone else find it a little weird, how Shadowheart claims to be afraid of wolves, yet doesn't express this fear unless you go to a certain room in the Githyanki temple?

Where was this phobia when we were near Silver at the druid grove?

Or when she was fighting alongside a druid, who had the ability to shapeshift into a white wolf in battle? (Which I did a LOT in EA.) Has this changed with the full release?

And what about those hyenas and gnolls we faced on the road? You know, the creatures that are bigger, tougher, and far more ferocious? (Not to mention, covered in the blood and gore of their victims.) She never showed any fear of them.

It's a chance for it to happen, not a guarantee. Happened to me with Silver on my co-op playthrough, but not during my solo playthrough.

When I played, the second I went inside the library in the grove, shadowheart freaked out. But then in the conversation following you can reassure her that nothing will happen if you stick together, so she doesn't show fear after that

She rolls for fear, I think. She did it when I went to talk to the druids near Silver.

She did talk to me about it in druid grove with silver actually...

I guess that must indeed be new to the full release then, as I never had it happen in EA, and I always talked to him when I had the animal speak spell. Does she say anything about druid players using that form in battle though?

Still weird that she's not afraid of gnolls or hyenas.

She did tell me she did not not like wolves at the druid temple, on that play through i just happened to notice she had an exclamation mark above her head before we vised Netti ... so i talked to her. thats when she told me. and thats the first time i noticed her showing that prompt on 5 different visits to the druid temple.

so maybe its conditional. or easy to miss as she seems to lag behind .

Wolves are not Hyenas or Gnolls. They move and sound completely different. Just look up a video of a Hyena running and you will see the difference for yourself.

Phobias are not usually rational and it is perfectly reasonable for a Hyena not to trigger a Wolf phobia. Dogs might not even trigger it just due to the size difference.

She rolls for fear, if she fails the roll she gets frightened and then a conversation about it is available. It can happen near any wolf in the game.

If your relationship with her is high enough, she reveals the reason why she is afraid of wolves.

Also explained much later in her companion quest :) (around the end of act2 i think?)
