Discover the history of prince Orpheous quest

I only found one book... Where is other ones ? Wiki has no info... Only managed to find something saying that there is 3 books. Found first book in arcane tower in Underdark.

I also rescued Varrl and he also completely disappeared after that, so I cannot progress the quest. I have played a lot after that, so I really don't feel like loading a save.

Same here, if anyone find where he goes after you save him if you kill the creche or any alternative to grab part II, I'm all ears. ^^'

Came here to ask the same thing haha I saved Vaarl and have progressed enough that myself and the crèche have had a falling out but I can’t find him anywhere!

Same thing here - unable to progress the quest. Saved him but didn't talk to him afterwards. The guy is gone

Same here, I was hoping to find him in Baldurs Gate, but I think it's really a bug, I think if you advance in the quest line there he really disappears, because in the battle he was no longer in the room.

In my case I would have to go back 30-40 hours of gameplay, I just gave up

The first in the arcane tower in the underdark, the second in the githyanki creche in possession of a bullied youth, the third in the Balthasar's study in Moonrise towers.

I am in Act 1 at the Creche. I saved the poor sod getting beaten by the instructor and he ran off. I found out he got the 2nd part of Orpheus history and now I came back, slaughtered the entire creche just to find him and no sign of part 2 of the disc. Is this a bug or a feature?

He's hiding it you should've spoken with him and pass some checks to persuade him to give it to you

I killed everyone in the creche and his body is not there. Alas.

He might have been killed by his own, when you come there you can save him from this fate

I don't really get it. How is it even possible to talk to him? I get the cut-scene immediately when I walk in, I save him from the teacher and after the cut-scene ends, Varrl is already gone. Nowhere to be found, ergo - I cannot talk to him.

He's there in the same room
