Is this game shorter than Original Sin 2?
I remember it took me around 20 hours just to exit the first island in Original Sin 2.
Yet in Baldurs Gate 3 I am at 11 hours and finished everything and am going to the next area.

Some claimed here that the game can take 75-100 hours.
Is it true? I mean, there are only 3 acts and I have already almost finished the first one.

Umm wut... not even close. Do you even know what original sin 2 is? DOS 2 is significantly longer than this game with 2 orders of magnitude more re-playability... not even taking into consideration the thousands of killer mods.

You're still in the first act bro.

There are several other acts.

In DOS2 if you ONLY do the main mission stuff asap you are done with the first island in 10min max....

If you do EVERYTHING DOS2 Island takes hours and hours...

Same for BG3...
If you have done EVERYTHING on the first map in 11 Hours, you might have done 25% of the game (according to an Larian Interview) so... another 33h in your tempo. But I dont understand how you do it that fast :D skipping every dialog?

My "longest" character is at around 10+ hours as well so far and I've not done the swamp, underdark and not finished the druid circle (but saved Halsin and killed all gobos) and I bet that I still missed some things.

Right, Act 2 and Act 3. How long they can be? More 20 hours?
On Divinity Original Sin 2 I have 55 hours without finishing the game, at the beginning of Act 5.
wasn't DOS2 by the end of it all kind of in a Ultimate Edition version that inluded way more extras, perks, side quests and many other stuff after years of refinement? not a fair comparison regardless.

Both Original Sin 2 and Baldurs Gate 3 I am playing on Story difficulty.
So not sure if its because the games easier..
I have done in the following order:
1. Met the druids and the red horny guys (lol sorry I do not remember their race)
2. Did not want to kill one of their bosses so I went into the Gnomes\Trolls area.
3. With charisma or other skills I made it to their village without fights. Then stealthly picked them one by one.
4. Continues to the castle where the 3 gnome bosses are and the druid bear.
5. Released druid bear and killed the 3 bosses either stelthly or with fight.
6. Got the party in the camp and then went to the swamp area to meet the Baba Yega (or how do you call her)
7. Currently fighting her.
Hmm thats it. I am sure I missed some things but the map is mostly explored I think.

i don't know how people are playing so fast. Rushing story missions on lowest difficulty?

If you actually explore the game there is no way you're finishing act 1 in 11 hours.
Meltdown Aug 6, 2023 @ 2:56pm
did you go to the underdark? that ♥♥♥♥ took me like 8-10 hours by itself
Leogia Aug 6, 2023 @ 3:00pm
I'm close to 20 hours and didn't even finish 75% of the first act. If you are thinking, that you've done everything in 11 hours, then you missed almost 3\4 of the first act. How many bosses did you encountered?

Than I have to tell you, Story mode of course makes things a bit faster but not that much (fights are easier etc.) and you did not have done all... far from it.

Here a Spoiler-List of things I have in my mind

There is a chapel with Undeads inside, there is a burning trading post with some dudes from Baldures Gate in them, there is a caravane fighting Gnolls, there is a cave with spiders and stuff under the bruned village, there IS the burned village, there is the underdark part, there is the harpy fight in the druid cove, there is the Githjanki (or how they spelled, you have one of them in your group the alien) attack with the red dragon and I bet I still missed things :D

Additional, did you talked with the dead? (spell) which gives good extra information on several quests. Did you find all companions and did their querstlines?

I feel like you still have a lot to do in Act1 ;)

Thanks!
1. What if my main character is laezal? (or how you spell her name). How do I fight with the dragon?
2. I had only progressed relationships with the vampire and had sex with him.
How can I progress with him and other companions their side story? How to get missions from them? What happens if I did not do it and proceed to Act 2? Will their side quest fail?
