Why do I have -1 spell save DC and spell casting?
https://imgur.com/a/KQS4lfD I had this question during early access and we essentially wrote it off as a text bug but its still saying the same thing here? Except more officially where as before it was kinda hidden. My understanding is that since im a paladin and use the charisma skill by spells should rely on that for their power correct? so shouldnt I have +3 and not -1? it looks like its taking from my intelligence stat? https://baldursgate3.wiki.fextralife.com/Charisma. So do I use charisma to land a hit? but I still need my intelligence to add to a ability check against it? Thats what kind of confuses me. So if I wanted to cast bane I always have a 100% chance from what i can see, So I thought that for them to "resist it" they would have to roll against my 10(default) + 3 for charisma? but this is saying that since my spell save DC is -1 that they would roll against 9 for 10 -1 https://baldursgate3.wiki.fextralife.com/Saving+Throw so why is it saying -1 for both? Im new to dnd and trying really hard to learn but some of this stuff really isnt making sense and I feel like a lot of it they (as in everyone even the people writing the wiki) just expects everyone to know :(

It would be helpful if you showed the context where the -1 showed up. Could it be that you are casting a spell from a different class than Paladin?

What do you mean? where would I see that? in the imgur link it says im a paladin and it says my spell save dc is -1? shouldnt all my spell casting and spell save be + 3 and not that?

Edit: are you saying that I can cast spells that I already know, that arent from my class? cause in that screenshot I have things like smite? So I assumed that those would all be charisma and that all spells i cast would use charisma and nothing else? cause why would they give me spells that use abilities that my class doesnt use? These all look like paladin spells?

yea even here https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Paladin#content but as opposed to the bg3 wiki this is 8 instead of 10 as your default + your proficiency bonus + your charisma modifier for your spell save dc and your spell attack is the same thing your proficiency bonus + your charisma modifier. So It should be saying at the very least + 3? and if counting proficiency bonus another 2 or 4 depending on the mode im playing?

I saw this leveling up and it seems like a cosmetic bug. If you hit the spell book tab it will show the proper values at the top.
