Is it possible to kill Dror Ragzlin with discretion?
I've tried using smokepowder barrels to clear the room in one big explosion, set off by astarion who stays stealthed the entire time. I've tried destroying the war drum before beginning combat. No matter how Dror Ragzlin dies, as soon as he is dead, everyone both inside and outside the building is permanently hostile.

Why does Halsin talk about not bringing him along if we want to be discrete, if discretion is literally impossible? Is there something I'm missing? I want to kill the leaders without needing to genocide an entire goblin tribe.

Move from the outside to the inside, then on the inside, start at the center and clear gut, minthara and then ragzlin. That way you can take them one at a time. Don't let them use the drums.
Just cleared it yesterday on tactician, lost a total of 20 hp and didn't rest once.

Gut and Minthara are already dead, with the rest of the goblins still neutral to me.
It's just Ragzlins room left, and every time he dies no matter how discretely every goblin both inside and out of the building become hostile. No one even gets a turn to run and trigger any drums.

I want to know if it's possible to do it without the goblins becoming hostile after the deed is done. Discretion, as brought up by Halsin, implying it's a possible route to take. But it seems hardcoded that as soon as Ragzlin is dead, no matter how, the entire goblin camp is rendered hostile.

It's probably possible by cheesing it but i haven't been able to do it discretely either.

I've only been able to kill that priestess gut without alerting anyone.

Minthara was relatively easily killed aswell, but not without some reinforcements.

For drog razlin, i was able to sneak my entire party up onto the woorden beams and take everyone out from up top.

So long story short, probably a good idea to just get Halsin and forget stealth.

Not entire camp. Those outside will still be neutral

That's the way it seems to be coded. Not sure if it's triggered just on Dror's death, but when all 3 leaders are dead as per the quest objective, everything goes hostile to you. It's got nothing to do with anything being able to see you.

I can rest easy knowing I tried all I can then, I'll just reload and carry through the fight challenging him through dialogue since it's more narratively satisfying that way than cheesing it with barrelmancy. Thanks for answering.

I've tried this multiple ways - most stealthy approach I've tried was minor illusion to draw him off to the back corner and with greater invisibility shove him off; everything still goes hostile. Taking out everyone simultaneously with lots of bombs also doesn't keep them neutral - but no surprise.

My suggestion is to do the two stealth kills you can (on the Drow and the Priestess) then go back to Halsin and let him rip and tear - unless you want the prestige of the solo savior.

Oh, also stealthily knocking him into the spider pit doesn't work when they're neutral. HE TELEPORTS OUT.

I did it with the iron flask. But of course it affected another quest. :)

The closet i have gotten is to take the two Drows out (turn based mode) behind the throne stealth and one hit kill then i went in rafters (turn based mode) used "Invoke Duplicity" to lure him then coated bow in "Drow poison" (which can cause sleep) clicked on sneak attack click on a "silence arrow" (don't remember what its called only found 2 in act one) and he Didn't yell out. before that round was over (were he falls to ground asleep) i had shadowheart cast the ONE "Banishment" scroll i found when he got banished a goblin came over and started to climb rafters looking i killed him in stealth no battle at the point were "Banishment" was wearing off he came up to investigate body and i was able to critically hit and kill him ones again didn't yell out and i haven't been found then i fast traveled to camp and they still ALL knew inside and out *(maybe theirs something with banishment and pushing him off if you can like turn based banish him well falling before death but at this point i think at best it may just not register his death)*

in case anyone comes to this thread, it is currently not possible, which is extremely frustrating, as it seems hard coded to flag the goblins as enemies, which means you either betray the goblins and lose the area (and the village, i believe), or you leave him alive and ignore him, you can very easily stealth kill Gut and Minthara.

in case youre curious, i will list all the things i did to kill him
>fog cloud spam to move him to edge of spider pit, shove him in from stealth (no aggro), spiders kill him from save scum spamming for lucky hits, on death instant red goblins
>spamming explosive barrels in his entire room, literally dozens of them i had stashed, aoe 1 shot nuke the entire room from stealth with a fire arrow from the rafters, hostile camp afterwards
>invisibility behind him into fog cloud, shove him into the pit nearby that is a death fall, hostile camp afterwards
>using familiars to widdle down every goblin in the vicinity, and breaking war drums, then 4v1 ragzlin, hostile camp afterwards
>clearing out literally the entire inner sanctum aside from him, every single enemy or npc, rat, etc, then killing him last, hostile camp outside the sanctum afterwards

No I tested it on my second play through as soon as he is killed the "hostile with the goblin camp" trigger is flipped. I killed every boss and goblin inside the temple in stealth not getting caught, the goblins were still yellow, I even completely stealth killed Dror and as soon as he dies the quest trigger flips and the goblins become hostile.

I didn't kill him, but knocked him out with a passive skill to 1 point of health - all the goblins outside the room attack me anyway.

It turns out that you cannot attack him in any case.

I wish the Dev's would consider adding in a little line from the narrator that would alleviate this issue a lot.

Narrator: "Although the goblins never saw you do it, the fact that you had shown up and all their leaders were dead was not hard to put together. Acting on suspicion alone, the goblins now hunt you down without a thought."

fair but i for instance only wanted to kill him in a play through i left gut and the drow alive and joined them so why can i not, drow poison+silence arrow+sneak attack him and enjoy the goblin party (if you kill gut they dont care )
