I killed Elminster
In Baldurs Gate 1 Elminster was very hard to kill and had good loot. I killed Elminster with a fireball and a paladin smite in BG3 and he left no loot. The greatest wizard on Toril an easy kill makes no sense. Try it for your self when you find him.

Elminster made a snowman that looks like him (and has access to all his spells), he didn't bother coming himself.

Was coming here to say this very thing. The guy has traveled the multiverse and to "our" Earth and is well aware there are those people that will merc him for his loots, so he's not playing that.

If you use astarion, and attempt to bite elminster it just writes "can't target constructs" so all his upset comments really are for not lol

I kind of figured it wasn't him actually there when I fought him, he went poof and left no body. It makes sense, why would a super powerful wizard physically go everywhere when he can just conjure messengers to do it for them?

Translation: Find Elminster's real body and merc him for his loots. I read you loud and clear.

The guy calls himself "Space Hamster Family" like he's an expert in Baldur's Gate and DnD and he doesn't even know this...

He's just another phony fanboy.

As long as he is represented as simulacrum which is made out of snow and ruby + illusion magic I think that we can count him as "remote fridge". Especially if it states that he is a construct. Copy will return to the original wizard and old man will have smth to eat :D

I remember Volo being quite hard to kill in BG1 as well. It looks like your question was answered, but Volo being level 1 in Act 3 seemed a bit silly. Is he a construct there as well?

According to Forgotten realms wiki Volo was a lvl 5 wizard in 2E which would be relatively decent level for BG1.

But in 5E his just a lvl 1 wizard.
