Shadowheart Dialogue change from early access
So after saving the Tieflings. In EA Shadowheart said, she never thought she would care for TIEFLINGS. Now it's changed to REFUGEES. Wtf? Why did you change that? Are you telling me Shadowheart is a horribly disgusting person now?

I have the feeling there are different reasons...

They probably didn't wanted her to be a "racist".

So it's better to hate people who are in need of help? Wowee.

Possibly, this change feels like it makes absolutely no sense otherwise.

Racism does not apply to non humans, and most of the things in this game are not humans.

Wow its almost like they were displaced from where they live and now live in squalor. Sounds alot like a refugee lmao

If eating non-humans is cannibalism, racism applies to non-humans.

Brain dead writers who can only dream of winning a debate with those they disagree with use forced platforms to dictate their views. That is 100% the reason for every odd thing in this game.

I dunno, I wouldn't be thinking too deep about it. Maybe they just wanted to emphasis that they're refugees and not just thieflings. I mean very early on they give you the option to basically say "Why didn't you lot just stay in hell" which is definitely not PC. I'd say the change in wording was just narratively driven as opposed to anything else.

What narrative? Care to explain? You can't can you? Unless you want to say shadowheart just hates people in need, even tho she was in need herself and was rescued. Like what?

Yes I can explain, let me do so now:

The narrative being the thieflings are refugees. Refugee; especially : a person who flees to a foreign country or power to escape danger or persecution

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/refugee

They're refugees. Plain and simple. They were forced out because their kind were embroiled in an event that caused the city to be temporarily transported to Avernum.

What does that have to do with the change? Literally nothing. What kind of explanation is that? EVERYONE knew that already in early access. I ask why they changed what Shadowheart says.
