Was it possible to save them (Act 2 spoiler)
Basically the refugee tieflings were attacked as one would know, and only Alfira, my favorite blacksmith and a new one not from the camp made it to last light. Most were captured, but Asharok, Ikaron, Kaldani, Toron, Amek, Memnos, Rechel, and Xeph all died.

Asking because the game specified that convincing Rolon to stay was what allowed Alfira and others to survive. So I was wondering If i made a bad decision, or if anyone else got different results

i got the same results but i did the same thing that you did. i also chose the good guy path as best i could but i never saw any indication that i could go with them. i assumed that now that the game is on full release you'd be able to listen to Kahga and offer your services as a body guard to help the tieflings to baldurs gate. but, i finished act 2 and i dont think you're meant to get to baldurs gate without dealing with the shadow curse first.

So, i dont see any way we could save them. The only way would be if you cleared act 2 before the tieflings leave the grove. So maybe if you kill the goblins, but dont celebrate at your camp with zevlor, and then do ALL of act 2 without resting, then maybe the tieflings leave and arent ambushed. But man I really doubt it. I think they are just meant to die. seems to be a theme in this game.

Tbh thats a little disappointing. I understand that you can't save everyone, I've accepted a good few deaths through combat encounters, so far mostly allied Harpers, but I'm disappointed that I might not've even had a chance to do better. You'd think half the refugee band dying would be something my choices could effect.
