One response was a flat denial and the other was along the lines of "lets see what happens."
Can't even be best buds without him tryin to gay up your night.
Everyone flirts without prompts. Gale threw me off the most out of everyone. I was not expecting it at all. Obviously you can turn them down nicely, but just a normal conversation turned into him flirting and hinting at romance, for no reason. Also the fact that romance options are not gated by approval is odd, what is the point? Asterion basically hates me but yet he wants my ass lol
I've got the Vampire in my camp. Lazel, Gal, Wyll, Shadow Heart and went and got that guy that help you hire merc?
All I got was normal chit chat from each ones. The Vampire did some 'Starring' at my character and I told him off....but he was the only one.
I'm smelling BS...about the 'Everyone wanna get in mah PANTS! EW GAY STUFF' lol
Just like every anime girl ever made.
Hi, there is a dialogue feature you may have missed. Underneath the other choices, are additional choices that unlock different dialogue trees and outcomes; some of which may be related to your class or skill. You can use this to get more information out of characters or even reject romances your character would not take part in, depending on your choices. I know a game like this can be complex, but I hope this helps.
Honestly man, I totally get your point.
They're either not paying attention or flat out bull ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
At that Druid party I was talking to the wizard guy, it went like this.
Wizard: hey, you know how I'm a wizard right well I've got some really cool magic to show you later.
Me: oh, cool, yeah man, sounds good.
Me then talking to another character:
Them: hey, I'm interested in getting closer to you.
Me: yeah, I'm interested in you too.
Them: didn't you already agree to blow that wizard dude though?
Me: what the ♥♥♥♥?
Honestly man, i dont believe people can't see why this is a problem, immersion breaking, unwarranted and unwanted. I really think they're either being willfully ignorant or totally ideologically possessed.
Its not even an issue of gay/straight, not for me at least, its just totally unwanted and jarring as hell.. however,.i think because a) most players are male and b) most of the companions are male, it means most of the unwanted and intrusive sexual advances are gay. I totally get why people don't like this and it has nothing to do with being some kind of istophobe, well, not for many people anyway, of course there are some who do have strong negative beliefs about homsexuality, but I think it's just the really lazy and intrusive way it's been implemented.
I also think a lot of people are just tired of what seems to be a constant stream of so-called progressive nonsense forced into every nook and cranny of life to the point it's totally inescapable.
When all is said and done gay people make up about 3% of the population, trans people less than 1% so when 100% of your characters are gay/bi/chicks with ♥♥♥♥♥ or whatever you can totally see how people don't see this as representation and see it as something else, even if it isn't intended that way.
People would hit on you, you would tell them they are not your type. Just as it would always be, only difference it wouldn't be limited to straight people only due to the (still IRL) persistent frowning towards non-straight people flirting in trial and error publically.
You have to understand that people, no matter IRL or in video games have no "I am [gender orientation] and feel attracted towards [gender type]"-pin on our foreheads. It was alyways part of taking the risk to approach someone and find out. Only difference is that AI Companions have no shame to experience because they are scripted to do so.
So it fits.
5 pp options but can't change height, body, boob, butt, face beyond a few face presets in any way, really apparent what this game is about
sucks, its so close to good but all this
It wouldn't be appropriate to allow players to toggle off same sex advances or something like that -- just because you're not gay doesn't mean you have the right to never be hit on same sex. You can reject, of course, but you have no right to not be approached. This is also the case in RL so it is not different in the game.
I myself avoid all of the romance stuff, and always have in video games, because I find it generally very cringe and inane. And it's easy enough to avoid the responses that go down the path of romance, even if it causes the relationship to otherwise end due to the way the companions are designed.
