A trick for the self-same trial

Hello everyone,
As this game is really hard (to me) in tactician mode. I decided to share some knowledge to make it easier concerning the self-same trial. A little video posted here explaining the trick.

did it 5 mins ago.. was bit of a challange astarion and gale were killed fast but my own and the cleric gave me a hard time. but was fun to see what the AI can do with your char build.

Cheater's Folly only gets applied if you attack a clone that is not your own

And that's only applicable while that characters clone persists.

Just tried to do this and the mirror images still had my gear on..

When I did it on tactician, I just only sent Shadowheart in. Only her clone appeared, and it was just repeatedly casting silence -> shield of faith, which of course ends the silence. It kept wasting its turns the entire combat while the real Shadowheart was actually hitting her.

Trials were a joke IMO. I had a harder time opening the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ door to them because I had some light emitting gear that prevented seeing the glowing runes/map/whatever on the floor.

First trial, just head north from the far right door. I thought it was broken.

Second trial, the enemy is hiding and its easy to sneak up and blow him up.

Third trial, lol what? You can literally see where to walk, what am I missing?

4th gem was irritating to get because the boss seems to get special invisibly rules. My main character has see invisible thanks to Volo but it did not work on this boss.

Last guy can be destroyed like a Bond villain who is busy talking ♥♥♥♥. Love that.

There is a plaque that lightly hints at this as well. I think it's on the floor on the way in. I love stuff like this in games.

Tried today, still working. Do not forget to remove the stuff before launching the event. As Marek underlined : "Cheater's Folly only gets applied if you attack a clone that is not your own ".

I'm playing an assassin, so I just sneak attacked them all. Got Cheater's Folly three times for having killed them all that way, but it's nothing a long rest can't fix.

Yep, i just sent everyone back to camp except shadowheart and then snuck up and critted the fk out of that clone. Way quicker and easier than this lol
