Sex in Baldur's gate 3

Why so much hype about sex in this game ? As much as I seen the sex content here is less than in Witcher 1 where you had a plenty of one night stand encounters. I hoped for such encounters here as well

Age. I guess. But also cultural views. Sex in the US is viewed like violence in the EU and vice versa. What happened to make love not war, I wonder.

As far as i know if you choose a romance some companions won't be ok with...sharing. It's not so much as a one night stand its more of building a true relationship. Some companions are more into sex than others as it should be.

in this game its not about quantity but quality. for instance, you can have sex with a bear.

DAO + Mass effect brought true digital romance/sex to video games. It was something new and interesting. Everyone was talking romance and requesting other romance characters. It was hot gossip at the time.
It's never been the same since. In fact it bores me now, and they have basically removed the romance part and gone straight to the banging part. There is only so far they can take it in games without it starting to involve animals. :D

What I'm saying is if they are to add romance then do it properly and not just meet say a few words and then dive into bed. That's not romance.

Building relationship is cool but it's not as cool as getting sexual content from some NPC's after doing favors for them like in Witcher 1

Sex is embarrassing, I did it with Gale, which required zero effort, and he has no genitals. He looks like a mannequin. I expected at least an erection, but I got an eunuch.

There was very little hype about the sex, it's just the bear scene was funny and of course it made the rounds here as well, so we embraced our dark urges and kept it alive lol

It's easy marketing.
As always: sex sells.

The game is good, and for all intents and purposes not in THE mainstream genre.
Hence word of mouth is a powerful marketing tool.

I'm not against "dive into bed" thing, there's Mass Effect romance template here where all romantic relationship is around your companions only (most of them ugly as f..) and not any NPC at all.
