Spectating Conversations COOP

I'm playing with 3 friends, whenever any of my friends trigger a cutscene, unless you toggle PRIVATE you can spectate. Now, for some reason I'm not getting the option to join the conversation, just a small dialong bubble icon, but no option to join. Have I switched something? Any ideas on how to be able to join the dialogs again?

You can't join conversations, only the char initiating the dialog can answer and do skill checks. This a major game design flaw imo.
They said they couldn't figure out a way to do it. But I don't understand, they just had to add specific line choices to the pool and to a vote for each dialog... they missed a huge feature.

Ammmm I was joining the conversations as spectator no problem, until I wasn't able to longer, the weird part is that both my friend can still join their conversations and mines.

Double check that all of you have set "share private moments" on in your settings, but if thats still not working, maybe try saving the game, then quitting and going back in?
