If you were playing in a campaign, you couldnt just sell another players stuff without first receiving the items from them. It's setup like this likely for both that reason and because it'd mess up multiplayer if you could just steal other peoples stuff.
You can also switch to 'barter' which is a different type of selling interface.
Giving the merchants 6 gold or 6 gold worth of items for free will increase your favor with them. The favor/ attitude level is listed in the bottom right.
You can sell stuff from other companions inventory in the barter menu and gold is SHARED when bartering.
Seriously try it. Try to buy something with a companion that has no gold and you'll see i get's automically trransferred from your money mule.
I knew about pressing it once. Not about doing it twice. That should help. Thankyou.
Only having to start with your high charisma person is great. A little silly that it cannot just do it automatically but better than nothing.
I will look into the barter thing next time I can summon up the motivation to try this game again.
Thankyou folks. I figured if nobody was hating on it there must be something easier and it looks like that is the case.
