I feel sorry for you the way you play the game...
All I did was to use a fighter as my main. Not a charisma-heavy class. I did NOTHING wrong.
And I guess it depends on how big of a mistake. Stupidity, or at least obvious and/or intentional stupidity, is a different story. Like using a sword to pick a dragon's nose. No, that didn't happen.
Keep the characters away from the edge as they will get punt-kicked by the big guys.
Once you remove the risks of being yeet and the aoe, it should be easy to win the fight.
