"Philomeen's Hiding Spot"
I have a marker on my map saying "Philomeen's Hiding Spot". It was part of a quest where I met an NPC and then she ran away after I spared her. But the marker still remains. I've looked around every nook and cranny of that location but I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do. Why is that marker still there?

Might possibly be a bug? I have the same exact issue.

The goblin cache is marked on my map, and when I got to the area all 4 of my party failed the roll to find it. But, the letter I had said where it was buried, so I used the shovel where i thought it would be and up pops a chest anyways. So it might be this kind of a situtation you're dealing with.

It's a bug. It's happened to me on a couple quests now, where the map marker refuses to disappear. First time was after leading Sovereign Glut to the beach. I noticed immediately the map marker was wrong and so reloaded, redid my dialogue/choices/battle, and on the second try the marker disappeared properly.

With Philomeen, however, I did not notice the map marker was still present until a couple hours after I completed the quest. Just to test, I reloaded an older save and re-found Philomeen and as with Glut, the marker disappeared as it is supposed to. But I'd really rather not re-do hours of gameplay just to remove the map marker. I really hope they can patch this because it's aggravating my OCD like you wouldn't believe.

It is not a bug. If you go to the camp for any reason, she will be gone, as well as the debris.

It's fixable by dropping the gunpowder that's related to this quest and picking it up again, in case you got that first before going to Philomeen.

I think you've misunderstood the issue. I had the conversation with Philomeen, she gave me some runepowder and then ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off. The map marker just never disappeared. It's absolutely a bug, as like I said previously, reloading an older save and re-doing that part of the quest made the marker go away properly.

Glitched. My glitch was the entire area has zero NPCs. I didn't even realize there was supposed to be NPCs until I touched door to the elevator and some random gnome appeared talking to me LOL

The entire area is .. Uhh, buggy. I'm not sure if it's scripted or not, but if you long rest within that entirerty of the area. All the gnomes leave and nere is dead, as all the rubble is gone, for some reason.

No no, that part is not a glitch. That's a "timed" quest. If you take too long rescuing Nere (I.E. if you rest or fast travel after entering Grymforge), the quest is essentially failed (or alternatively progressed, depending how you look at it). The cultists will have forced the Gnomes to clear out the rubble and drag Nere's body out by the time you're done resting. They'll all have moved on by the time you get back to Grymforge.

Upon fast traveling/resting, you should have gotten a cutscene where Nere contacts you telepathically which is supposed to be a warning that you need to go help him ASAP.

I knew i took the right choice of not using any rest in the game.:D

yeah the journal even says something like "nere will die soon, we can't afford to rest." though it would be nice if the game would be like "are you sure you want to rest? nere will die from the gas if you do" since there are virtually no other timed quests in the game
