At this point I'm really questioning the life some people here must have lived and how crazy narrow their view on the world must be .. it's just baffeling.

BG3 is to the brim filled with secrets and loot to find yet some people here apparently find it more important whom a certain NPC shags in another person's game, it's truely pathetic. I could even understand if some narrow minded players get a bit uncomfortable by NPCs hitting on them in camp (you can always say "No", champ) but when they then also start to question the diversity in skincolour of this fantasy universe .... YIKES. No wonder their basement seems to be the best spot to hide for some here (to use the oldest gamer joke in the book).

THis is beyond funny - and sad to me actually. "Woke" ... what does this even mean exactly? That gays and trans people exist? That you, the wokeness-hater, have to accept that as a fact because a game or movie or series is based on this reality?

Especially funny for a game set in a fantasy franchise that is spanning a multiverse full of creatures of all kinds. I just wonder what would happen if they made another game set in Sigil, the City from Planescape Torment. Oh, what the devs could do for weird characters, sexualities, cultures...

This is almost like complaining that Star Trek got "woke". That one will never stop amusing me, as I sit here, drinking Earl Grey, reading some quotes from Jean Luc Picard about the barbaric 20th century and how mankind evolved past all that nonsense to a "libtardy utopia" while on my TV-Screen Kirk gives Uhura a kiss.

There's a limit though. Everyone has a right to disagree, but it shouldn't infringe on others liberties.

Everyone ideally should be equal, but you should also be able to say what you think, even if it's harmful, based on nothing but prejudice and conjecture, to have our beliefs challenged and having to defend them, we see issues in them...but if we are not allowed to say them, then this beliefs become even more dogmatic and we get big social issues as seen.

In that sense the game currently is perfect, it doesn't preach, it doesn't force anything and most importantly... it reaches consensus, there's a masculine and femine body type, you can choose to identify as such or not...I don't get how this is bad, it's more options, you can opt out of them and still create your desired radiant blonde hair paladin of good (which tbh, is quite fun for a second playthrough).

I guess that must be why all the western movies, comics, and most games are doing worse and worse, to the point that a single manga can outsell the entire western comics book industry, from multiple companies, combined, the vast majority surely seem like they want, like or can at least stand all of this crap doesn't it?

Jokes aside: For decades, games have been using male/female in character creators. And for years, people who didn't 100% relate to either of those identities had to be faced with those two choices, every time they tried a new game.

Wouldn't it be grand if the alternative was to choose either 'Body type A/B' or 'Male/Female', so both sides are satisfied, instead of spurning one party in favour of the other.

Sadly some people make a living of being offended by everything and anything. You can never satisfy or appease them.

As an example give me a subject, topic or item and I can find a way to get offended by it. best you can do is humor them and not give it much attention I find. they will always find something new to latch onto and be offended by within a few days.

Exactly, that's why it's pointless for Larian to try to appease these people by putting 'male/female' in. They'll just find the next thing to be 'offended' by.
