How to turn camera auto follow back on?

So I was playing with the settings and turned on edge panning, which works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the camera will auto follow my character and sometimes it won't Am I accidentally turning it on and off somehow? Is there a toggle button? Basically I just want the camera to auto follow my character. Please help it's driving me crazy, thank you.

P.S. The first few hours of the game the camera followed my character and now all of the sudden it doesn't. What the heck is going on?

Double click on your character portrait

double click on your portrait or also you can hold left click to move your character and the camera will automatically follow

F1 toggles it on and off. Took me ages to figure that out.

F1,F2,F3,F4 select the corresponding party member. Which also locks the camera to them by default.
