"Private Dialogue" Bug?

Was playing with my friend and whenever he'd start dialogue with anyone, I was not able to listen in with the message of "***** is having a private moment".

However, he did not have private dialogue selected, I did not have private dialogue selected, and -most importantly- these were main quests we were doing. As a result, I had to rely on commentary or discord screen-sharing to follow the important dialogues along because the game decided it was a private moment

Having this issue too. Private dialogues happening even though the box isn't switched on, forcing us to stream the dialogues to each other when we can't listen in.

Driving me crazy... Only way to play with friends right now is to share screens. Also makes it that you can't give guidance unless you know a cutscene is about to occur and you do it in advance.

For some reason, this issue only started to happen a couple hours into gameplay. It seemed fine at first. Also seems to happen to one of us over the others, whilst happening to the others only every now and then (for me it's constant... I never ever see cutscenes unless its my character)

We even tried making it that everyone can see one another's private dialogues but that doesn't seem to have changed anything unfortunately.

Please please please fix this or help us figure out why it's happening so we can fix it on our end! Thank you!

I'm having this issue as well. It's my first multiplayer runthrough, and my partner is playing Dark Urge and is having an Urge-specific conversation. She does NOT have "private dialogs" checked, we both DO have Eavesdrop enabled. I see she is having a conversation and I can try clicking to listen in; she gets told I'm trying to listen but there doesn't seem to be anything she can do to let me in.

I have the cure to what ails you. go to options>accessibility and enable "share private moments". Dunno how it took me this long to figure out. What is considered a "private moment" is also pretty vague, because obviously sex scenes count but so do all "romance" scenes, as well as dark urge scenes. Astarion biting you for the first time is considered a romance scene, and is set to private for example.
