Gale origin problem

So I'm playing as Gale, I consumed the magic ring that Tara gave me, and I've collected a number of magic items since - including the Necromancy of Thay book, which I used to always give him in EA. Yet, despite a recent journal entry popping up, saying that I need to consume a magic item soon, there's no option to do so when I right click on them - not even the book. (And yes, I did unlock it.) Why is that?

same here. Cannot consume anything.

Same - I don't get it. Also don't have the debuff I had the first time, that says an item must be consumed. But entries are being added, asking to consume items - but "consume (Gale)" or whatever the option was, is not an option anymore on any item.

Start a conversation with Gale, and then you'll have an option to have him consume something.

Be aware that although items say he can consume them, they aren't all listed as options to give to him to consume, so you might not want to give him what they do list as options.

Same, Gale origin, ate 1 item, that's it - no option to eat more, even for powerful items aka Thay Necromancy

Imagine playing as Gale, or recruiting Gale. (I personally don't like him, but that's because he eats all my magic items and acts like a pretentious ponce).

I just moved on to Act 2 where the problem is solved.

This def sounds like a game breaking bug. Highly recommend you submit this to Larian if you haven't troubleshooted a fix yourself, and then I'd submit it anyways.

Same here, cant consume magic things after the first, already have 2 warnings.
Done everything I could - swapping items< dropping items, trying to consume right from the bos, open group inventory, open solo inventory, trying to consume equipped items, doing this to uncommon to lenedary items...no use. Or better say no consume button.
Hope I wont explode before the hotfix.

Hmmm, i actually only consumed one,before Old wizard solved this issue and calmed down our condition.

I am in act 2 and I still can't feed Gale any magic items. I donate all my items to him and he won't eat them. It's pissing me off that I can't use them because I did want him in my party.
