Imagine being this insecure but with that profile picture. Crazy.
In that game, at the click of a button you can easily have romance scene with any dude in your group.
Oh man, am I being judgmental? I had no clue. /s
Yeah, I don't care.
I'm sure someone will throw shade at me for this, but just an observation from someone that's been playing games since Atari, reading books, and watching movies: When any minority demographic is over-represented in a story, there is an agenda afoot. In this case, this story is perfectly pegged in the "wokeism unchained" category.
To expand on this; I'm also an author, I've written 5 books (fiction), and stories are most receptive and believable when it represents what the reader is familiar with. Even while writing fantasy, the authors are usually very careful to ensure that the characters are relatable, even if the setting is outlandish. Some components of a story must be able to resonate with the reader (or in this case, the player) for it to be readable.
In this game's case, the company seemed to choose woke authors that have never written a bestseller before to a real authors that can sell a work of fiction as immersive and relatable.
The characters in this story aren't relatable at all. Every character is bi, and they all have daddy issues. It would be the most unrelatable cast I've ever seen if it were in paperback form. I'm sure this is a dream come true for the LGBTQ+ community though but not a single person in that community can say that the representation of the cast is realistic or believable. Even they, if they're being honest and objective, would say there is an agenda afoot.
Act 1 was masterful, the only woke thing was in the game is that your male character could have a female voice, and visca versa. That’s it.
Now at the end of act 2 and during act 3, they constantly remind you that being straight is either non-existent, or minority.
Bet my balls on it that something happened during halfway of development.
Not to mention that act 3 is full of bugs. And annoying things such as the Elfsong tavern “camp”. They literally put in only one song which makes your ears bleed after hours of gameplay…
Ideology character creator:
3+ genders (Pronouns)
Genital customization (girl with boy bits or vise versa)
Make a female human character with a beard
BG3 has no straight or gay companions. They are all bi sexual, they all prefer the player, and the only hurdle for the player is filling a like meter semi hidden in the menus. Some will instantly throw themselves at the Player Character. A few different players told a story of trying to be straight or gay, but then companions that were not the sex they were pursuing were hitting on them. It is almost like the game knows what you aren't interested in and so it has those characters pursue. Maybe the goal is to make the player bisexual. Strange.
Older RPGs like Dragon Age had NPCs with preferences, the player had to meet the companions criteria before they would sleep with them. DA:Inquisition had a female elf that was a lesbian, so a male PC could not sleep with her. There were straight and bi sexual companions as well.
Good one, he gonna need sone ointment for that.
And Bro if you had something that you Hated in the game you be complaining yourself just look at the upvoted thread complaining about it.
Clearly the default canon player class is Bard
You'd think that in a dialogue heavy game, players would actually pay attention to the dialogue.
Alternatively, go with the flow. A good sausage will set your mind at ease.
