You can't romance Shadowheart as an evil character?
So it seems that following the so-called "evil route" in Act 1 (killing the tieflings) locks you out of Shadowheart's romance. Which is really stupid, both narratively (she supposedly worships an evil deity which craves destruction of all existence, but can't tolerate some killing for our own benefit?) and meta-narratively (as we were supposed to be able to influence companions and sway them).

The other heterosexual romance options are either hideously ugly (Laezel), or extremely "manly" (Karlach is built like a truck, and Minthara literally has a male face and a male voice). All of them are also extremely dominating and always want you to "submit", say you "belong to them" etc.

So it's either agree with modern liberal politics, like on migration issues (to which the "tiefling refugee crisis" is a direct allusion), or be locked out of romancing the only good-looking feminine companion and be left with ugly, masculine and emasculating "romantic interests".

Was this a conscious decision on Larian's part? Considering how much effort they have otherwise poured into companions, that does seem the most probable.

Kill Shadow heart, for not being useful to your purposes

The Githyanki is hotter anyway.

Being Evil doesn't mean they like pointless mass murder for the sake of it.

I don't know why you think siding against the druids was ever going to turn out good results for you.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Shadowheart is not evil though... her story is much more fleshed out now than in EA... she seems EXTREMELY important to the story... but that could be because she and Lae'zel has been full time party members for my but Lae'zel is not as talkative.

Honestly, go play another game then dude. Plenty of games have your typical "submitting" and "feminine" female romance options. Baldur's Gate isn't meant to fit that box which every other game with romance does.

The writers know the character they wrote down to every little detail, and how the characters morals work, which in good writing, is not black and white. Your path determines how others see you, like in real life. That is the whole point of DnD and games like it. Your choices affect your experience.

If you like the game other than this aspect, then just play the game and avoid romance. If this aspect bothers you to no ends, make a new character with a different origin, or drop the game.

Also nice on calling masculine women ugly. The emasculation you feel much be so terrible. Sorry, BG3 does not pander to your personal preferences. "Liberal Politics" is immediately what your kind jump to as soon as you are not given the special treatment you feel so entitled to. When people with nonconventional taste or sexuality get the spotlight for even a moment, you just have to cry and whine, blame it on wokeism and libs.

Very admirable.

Shadowheart is clearly not evil though. Not sure what you were expecting.

I'm pretty sure Larian even wrote that she was supposed to be "neutral" aligned and I also recall her having very random disapprovals during dialogue in EA. This seems to be fixed, but earning her trust seems to be harder than most companions.

I agree. We need more beautiful, and less feminist woman in this game.

She likes children, you didnt bother to find that out and then killed children. Makes perfect sense to me. *shrug*

Mods will sort that out, (Yes it would be awesome if Larian just put that in the game to begin with, but I will settle for mods if a developer wont oblige my cravings.)

I earned her trust super fast... she wanted to spend the night alone by level 3...

Lae'zel is ugly as all hell, she's hideous to be frank. Yes, she has tons of charisma, but that face and body are simply repulsive.
