Penny Pincher Achievement

Has anyone worked out how to get it? I’ve tried pinning the toll collector down with e-cards black tentacles however the gold weapon summon must have counted. Tried yeeting her off the building with an EB but that auto started the conversation so then she was back to fill health.

Any sure fire ways to get it?

If you pass the conversation checks, you can defeat her without fighting her and get the achievement. That's what I did

tried all of this as of last patch from 11 aug, nothing actually works out =)

seems the achievment is broken now or so, started a fight with dialog, while she was in sheep form, took out all the shadows, 1shot her with magic missiles, apparently no achievment =)

I just got this by killing all of the skulls before the fight so that she had no gold armor left at all. I snuck around sniping them with the rogue and I had to teleport back to a waypoint a few times to avoid detection because she runs at you really quickly. One hit to get rid of their invulnerability and then a couple hits to kill. One is in the bottom level, which took me a minute to notice. After that you have to kill her without her summoning a golden halberd (and maybe other attacks?) but she has extremely low health so it's easy enough if you surprise attack.

I was able to do it as of hotfix #3. Did the Eldritch Blast method with Wyll, waited til she was near the window and blasted away into deep chasm.

I just followed dialogue options until she killed herself and her skull friends. Not entirely sure how I managed that but i got the achievement anyhow.

You can essentially talk her to death and avoid combat altogether, that should make the achievement pop. However, I did this twice and the achievement didn't trigger the first time, so it might be bugged. I've noticed this with some other achievements as well such as the one for killing an enemy with unarmed damage.

You can just shoot her skulls. When you first shoot skull it teleports, after that you can kill it. Each skull is linked to one of her armory pieces. After all skulls gone, just kill her. Did it with Astarion using stealth shoots.

This is the way. Focus on the skulls. She basically has no HP after all the skulls are dead and almost any character can then one-shot her.

Achievement was bugged but is fixed now. You can get it with Persuasion options, didn’t work on my first play-through but just triggered during second

Just pick up the gold off the floor. Even when it is set to explode you can pick it up for zero cost and it does no damage in your pocket.

where do you find the toll collector?

She's a big baddy made of gold in the toll house in the shadow cursed land. She's in the building with all the moaning ghost heads. Up in a loft above.
