How get Get Minsc without killing him

Follow the questline and get to Minsc in the cistern, Once combat starts, kill everyone else and then click on "Passives" at the bottom menu and toggle "non lethal attacks" Then swing melee at Minsc until he is knocked out. Jaheira canget the hold spell which helps.

You have to get in in contact with the Thieves Guild in Baulders gate, look for people shooting halflings, and then kill then and throw a switch in the next room. Then stack crates to get to the guild room. Talk to the boss, then talk to the guy in the mask. Then you'll go to the counting house, talk to the lone teller and get a pass. Go down to the vaults and watch a cutscene. Then, in the sewers of Baulder's Gate, go to where the fire sorcerer is and and then go to the right of where he is and keep going west until you find the cistern, mess with the time delay valves of open the cistern. Once there, follow the original post.

It HAS to be melee, crossbows and magic don't work.

Even if I knock him out perfectly. He’s out cold on the ground (still alive) Jaheira accuses of me of killing him and leaves my party… I can only assume it’s yet another bug. This one preventing me from a highly anticipated companion.

To follow up on a solution; I left combat through the ladder nearby. Once returning to the sewers, the fight was able to restart and normally completed. DO NOT use any hold person or dominate spells on him, as I believe this to be the cause of the issue. Anyways this worked and he’s in my party now.

He's too much of a cringe pesonage even for the Larians' version, I killed him because he was stupid and didn't see that Jaeira was a shifter

Minsc is still bugged under certain conditions.

1. Knocked Minsc out with one hit point left. I loot him.
2. Combat ends with some NPCs killed and some 1/x hit points left.
3. Minsc immediately restarts combat, now nude and unarmed.
4. I remove all of my + damage clothing and weapons.
5. No matter how I hit him, he dies, and Jaheira leaves the party.
6. I spent an hour reloading this and trying MANY different ways to prevent him from reentering combat after being knocked out.

The only approach that worked for me was restarting the entire battle and leaving Minsc for last. If I knocked him out BEFORE killing the other enemies, he always jumped up and came at me.

I saved Minsc for last and he still keeps getting back up and restarting combat after being knocked out. This game is buggier than most Bethesda titles...

Start the fight, leave Minsc as last enemy, using a CC.
Kill him by knocking him out.
The cutscene should launch.
