The camera is awful
Control is constantly being taken away from me. The camera in fights literally makes me angry. like let me just move the camera around? on x-axis movement? just give me control ffs

It really can not handle the Z axis well and Larian games always have Z axis shenanigans. We need a function to move the camera up and down the Z axis.

I have a huge problem with the combat camera, it jumps away all the time. It should be so easy to make the option or a even a mod to disable the camera jumping around, right? But we have nothing, and the combat camera is ruining my experience with the best game ever. :steamsad:
Aye, the only real issue i have with the game. Camera control is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aweful lol. Maybe a modder can fix this?

Try turning off dynamic camera for the combat. It may fix what you're dexcribing.

Try to connect a controller and see how it changes, also press both left and right mouse buttons for walking/running

No it does not. I have it off, because it's even worse when it's on.

You can turn off the dynamic camera and it wont yank it around in combat.

Me the same. I have to uninstall the game because the camera is to close to the character. I do not see the world around and it makes me crazy. I checked the Baldurs Gate 2 and there the camera is further away. It is comfortable and pleasure. In BG3, after 5 hours i was so angry and did not know why. Than i realized that i do not see the world around. It was so super overwhelming experience ... weeee ... super unpleasant.

The camera is one of my biggest gripes with this game. It gets caught on terrain and everything else, sometimes making it a nightmare to get the right angle and line of sight when aiming a spell in a very specific spot

Playing with a controller has some really great advantages in this game. You can walk your character around naturally and slowly, and really take in the surroundings. On PC you can do this also but its janky and harder to control with the hold mouse button mechanic.

Looting is a bit tougher with controller, but if you're on PC I think you can use both if you want?

THIS ^^^^^

It will also improve your performance in Act 2 & Act 3.
