Adamantine Forge BUGGED

So some people say you can only use the forge twice and it "breaks". Thats false. There is a bug involving switching out the molds which THEN locks you out of the Forge.

If you never replace the mould, you can make infinite Splint/Scale armor (if youre item cheating with mithril that is).

I just dont understand what's really going on with this Forge and why it bugs out the way it does. As long as you DONT change the mould, you can make as many items as you want. You change it, and you're locked out from making more items?

You cant tell me this is intentional....

I dont ever expect this to get fixed, so if you need further tips to get the most of your Mithril Ore (without cheating) let me know or go on Fextralife and they took the effort to give you the stats of the best items already.

I only got to use it once, and it broke. I can load everything but cannot use the forge a second time. The lava wheel is broken and if I use it without it does not work. The forge has been an issue for a while now.

I got it to work both times with different molds. There seems to be multiple forges overlapping, so you gotta pick the right one. The trick I used was to only put the mold and ore into the forge when it prompts "No control: in a story event"
Since the button doesn't wanna work to leave, just teleport out using a waypoint.

Only worked once for me, the first time I dropped the hammer to get the boss. I went back up to get the second mithril that I missed, and now can't go back down.

I used it twice back to back with different items, no issue here? Whats happening, just doesnt work when you click it again to change out?

For me the doors to place mithril were unclickable, the lever for the molds was stuck, and once I went back up the lever to drop the hammer didn't make the platform go back down.

I guess I will try to get it twice on the next play through.

the forging works fine for me, but then button to raise the platform up again doesn't work. no problem I can just teleport out, but it just slightly confusing really.

Todd: I dunno if this is your issue or not, but when I tried to use it twice I couldn't either. THEN I discovered that if you go to the "mould" machine, you have to pull the lever to EJECT the mould you just used! Then you can put in the 2nd one and make another item...

What burns my taut buns is that I can only choose between 3 items? Maybe I'd like a mithril/admantine LONGSWORD! or a QUARTERSTAFF!!! No..just 3 things that, after all the trouble, might not be of much use (depending on your team).

There's 2 mithril which means you can only use it 2 times, unless you cheat for more.

I just found it for the first time and I can't use it at all. This bug needs to be fixed! I try to put in mithril "Can't use this right now". I've never used it, so I'm just screwed out of getting any of these items. This really blows - why did I buy this game again?

Mold receptacle is invisible for me and not clickable, so I can't put in a mold to make anything

For the stuck platform not raising bug, according to Karan Pahuja's article posted on https://gamertweak.com/adamantine-forge-stuck-fix-bg3/:

Are you trying to put in actual mithril, or the mithril slag? They're not the same thing.

I am experiencing this bug. I followed all the steps properly including beating the boss and I can't find my new armor anywhere. The only button that works is the ascend lift button but I can't make it go back down.

No matter what mold I put in it always makes a long sword so I can't even get the equipment I want 😭
