So the answer is that there is a button hidden on the painting that is opposite of the bookshelf... Wow, it took me 12 hours of sleep to have a fresh mind and find this out!

I think there was a quote in a quest note or something that is like "death is beautiful if you know where to look" and the picture is of a skull with a butterfly on it :)

@Infini How did you solve the open hand murder? I got the flower key but I don't know what it opens and I am stuck on the investigation

you go to the fraygo flophouse go to the second floor then to the ladder and it opens a wardrobe to a secret room then everything you need is in there. I just wish the note thing didnt bug cause I had to do all that stuff now.

Orin is in the under city / sewer section. you don't need go through the graveyards to get there. go to the tavern, clear the rats, your squid friend in your mind also tells you to go there. it leads to the basement and auto cutscene with orin down there.

I tried that area and couldn't find the access point, it's much easier to find it through the sewer point under the tavern and under the warehouse next to the harbour. You will need to lock pick a door to get in though.

So, I'm missing something...I followed above instructions and find myself at the "Temple of Bhaal" waypoint. I then walk across the bridge to the stone door and lockpick it. But then it only says "No key, no handle. Better to forget. Better to live." and I can't do anything except choose "Walk away".

What am I missing?

You're missing a quest item, which is something you can loot off a person for finishing the serial killer quest

Edit: Also a merchant (I think?) By the undercities entrance might have the item?

There is a door behind a bookshelf at Candulhallow tombstones but I can't open it, and putting Animal Carcass inside it doesn't unlock it.

I'm at a loss.

He's already pressed the button, hence why he can see the door

He needs the passwords, which is given in

1. Tribunal serial killer questline
2. Orin gives it to you if you agree to her terms and kill gortash first

So I found a serial killer, followed his trail up to Candulhallow tombstones and now I'm stuck again. I got in there but nothing is happening.

The 3rd act is bugged beyond belief. It's obvious they didn't playtest it at all.

Act is fine, you've just done it wrong.

There are obviously more ways than one to pick up Orin's trail. I started with investigating the temple murder, which ultimately leads to her. Gortash told me during the audience to check up on unsolved murders, too, if I want to find her. I came across the sewers when the cook sent me killing rats and met Orin there and later a Bhaal cultist group. So I already knew where to look, when I got later the info about the tombstone maker.

But you really have to read what the NPCs tell you and what is in the notes. Otherwise it is easy to get lost.

lmao all these people crying about us being in act 3 saying we have no life? lmao it takes like a few hours to get there lmao done it 3 times already its not freakin rocket science just skip the useless filler that is literally pointless. or keep complaining about how you suck lol

1. Complete the serial killer quest in baldurs gate
2. At completion of quest you get a bhaal amulet (there is a quest choice that affects a speech check for orin if you complete it one way)
3. Use bhaal amulet on the temple of bhaal door (the big door after the LONG bridge)

For a lot of people, they get stuck at the area where there is a crumbling pillar fallen over where you fight a bunch of cultists, like the first bhaal trial or whatever. Go across that column, then go through the BIG gate immediately following, and turn RIGHT immediately. Small metal door
