Confused about group sneak.
Please help. :)

I use the group sneak and then do a sneak attack with my main character. Problem is, then every bad guy gets to go and it gets back to me. I am the only one in battle.

After that I start to click on my party members and then they finally get into battle. Am I missing something? Why doesn't my whole party join in the battle when I attack?

Is there an option I am missing?

Maybe they pacifists?
This is how you set up an ambush...

Your sneak attacker is too far from the party.

That's why I often use my Ranger to do the surprise attack. Depending on the landscape, and how many enemies there are, you can also use your Rogue.

Just snipe an enemy with your bow.

Bait them to come to you.

So because the other three are all hidden they aren't in the combat because the enemies don't know they are there. You can switch to them any time by clicking their portrait and then take actions with them (another attack for example)

I have shot an enemy with my whole party right next to me. That did not help.

Yes it is confusing. After your first attack, don't end the turn and choose your other party members, and attack with them one by one. Then they will join the fight and you can continue as normal.

But I miss a whole round of attacks with those characters.

Go into turnbased mode before you start an ambush stops the enemy from all acting as soon as your first shot goes off and lets all your characters get a turn. Not perfect but as close to all holding an attack till after the rogue opens up on someone as we will get.
I use grüp snek to one-shot every undead scholar in the Dank Meme Crypt :steamhappy:

I learned the hard way on this as well, there is mention of a turn based mode that I need to look into before firing up BG3 again, seems useful for some other things as well.
