That's correct.
If you bypass the temple/ruins in the beginning you'll miss out on several fights, XP, and loot, not to mention unlocking Withers early.
if you got Athletic from puttig 4 levels into fighter but want to respec into a wizard you will not only lose your fighter levels but also that feat, then once reaching level 4 on your new class you can get a different feat(or the same one)
Gotta be a better design, right?
