How is the LAN Coop?
Wanting to play through the game with my wife, is the coop any good or is it annoying? Can you have your own unique characters and walk around together? Does the game do well on controller?

I play with my wife. Having quite the enjoyable time (biggest issue is having to convince my wife to accept failure).
You can each make your own characters, or play origin characters. You can journey together or walk around separately. We tend to have one companion we keep with us and each control. You dont have to view each others conversations, but you can if you want. I generally let her handle conversations since she made a bard, and I made a meathead.

Dunno about controller- neither of us use one.

You can play the entirety of the game, start to end, with the two of you (and probably two NPC group members). All the while, each of you can initiate conversations and make decisions. I think it will be a blast with your wife.

The only caveat with co-op is that you cannot remove player-created characters from the party, AND all joining players must create a character. As such, I would recommend having the mindset of not allowing players to join a campaign if they are not going to be reliably present. Instead, consider creating a new campaign to play with them. This is not really communicated anywhere, and has caused some complaints in the community.

oh thank good to hear, i meant LAN coop with a single copy of the game and PC. Do you know if you can still do all that with one copy of the game?

It has split screen with two controllers. Not sure you will be able to LAN with one copy.

You can LAN with one copy. If you are running it on two different PCs, have the game installed and then have the second player launch the game directly from the executable in the installation folder. Do not use the Steam client.

You have to exit steam entirely. Like shut the program down then launch larianlauncher
