Anyway to fix moon lantern?

My is broken (from spider guy) propably by bug. Dont check it after pick it up, and now i see it is broken...

I've got the same problem, the lantern I've got from Kar'niss corpse went broken when I've choose the option to keep it.

I fixed it , before loot working lantern from spider, get rid of from broken lanters you`ve already found before
If u have broken lantern in inventory and loot normal one, all of them would be broken, thats definitely a bug

I confirm that the only thing that helps is to Disguise yourself, before picking up the item from the corpse (or by having a party member picking it up).

But most likely it doesn't matter, freeing the pixie is a better option anyway. You'll still get protected from the Shadow Curse, but won't have to have the whole party converge in a small radius

Not sure, do you have the bell given to you by the pixie?

Didn't happen to me everything worked fine. But I was in that area before the first hotfix so maybe a hotfix broke it?

Yeah my lantern broke after keeping the fairy 🤷‍♂️

You basically have 2 options, follow the Drider and defend the true soul convoy or join harpers and nab the lantern. You can give it to the druids and they.. give it back in the inn. But aside that I never found a single other working lantern....

Also whatever you do, do NOT turn the base or release the pixie ;p

I released the pixie, she gave me a permanent light buff for my friends and party, no need to use the lantern.

how is this helpful exactly? you cant get to that area without a moonlantern to begin with and there are no other ones present. how are we supposed to get there?

Hello, I had the same problem but I didn't figure out I was softlocked until after I went on a side adventure in the creche. I slowly lost my mind researching a solution because by that point If I had to reload from the point before I killed the spider guy I would've lost like ten hours and I *really* didn't want that. Ten hours later, the only solution I found satisfactory was to use a cheat engine to enter God mode (invulnerable, unlimited movement and actions), sprint straight to the Moonrise tower, and grab the lantern available on the first floor (I interacted with the least amount of people that I could). Now that I have a functioning lantern, I can explore normally. Hope it helps and that this bug can be fixed ASAP, it really soured my experience.

My main character is a druid. So I simply turned her into owlbear and ran through that part of map (the rest of the party waited in the secure area). Lost that form - took another one. It was enough to get me to the tower. There, I got the lantern.
I believe, a rogue under haste could run there too spending all the actions and bonus actions on run. Monk has ways to go faster too. With some health potions, should work.
A barbarian in rage may have some chance if the resistance will work. A cleric could heal himself, mages have teleports, etc.

I discovered it trying to go to the path I didn't take, but fortunately I double backed just to check if they would be kept (to avoid wasting a dozen of hours to discover it too late)

Just release the bloody pixie and get the bell and she'll give you the blessing.

If you've traveled to mountain pass or elsewhere you can call her again and kindly ask for the blessing whenever you're in the cursed lands.

Wait is that true. Like I went to mountain pass to finish the githyanki cresh thing.

The buff was gone but I clicked the bell the pixie gave me and she blessed me again. I remember her saying "I luv it when they beg"

This is false information. Pixie literally gives you an item that refreshes the buff when it's lost.

The pixie gave your character a bell. Ring the bell to get it back.

Why not release the pixie? Doing so she will give you the protection you need. And a bell to ring to reapply if needed.
