How do I get out of Wyrm's Rock prison?

I have lost all my items, and while I can speak to the guard patrolling outside, I can't control his brain to free me or anything. What should I do?

What do you do after the Skull though? You’ll be invisible, but if you loot the chest then you’ll pick up so much you’ll be encumbered, lost your invisibility and alter the guards. What do I do?!

I know this sounds rather petty but when all my stuff goes into chest outside the jail cell, just the thought of sorting all that all out again with my characters makes me not want to bother proceeding with the game. Someone tell me there's another way . . .
