Graphics settings won't stay
My graphics settings keep resetting to a setting I had set them to awhile after playing when I was fiddling with the settings to find what was optimal for my PC. The settings it keeps loading are not optimal and were just part of what I was messing with.

Now every time that I start the game I have to change the graphics setting to what is actually optimal.

Does anyone know why it's not saving the settings when I close out the game?

The only thing that's not vanilla is that I added the lines to launch options for skipping the launcher. IDR exactly what it was but I think it's "-skip--launcher" or something like that.

Same here. Vanilla install after clearing the EA install and saves.
I cannot enable DLSS or DLAA. When prompted I select to 'Apply' the changes but changing tabs reveals that the setting doesn't actually save. My 3070 is crying out LOUD

Aye, I have the same issue. The settings for DLSS, DLAA, or even windowed/full screen won't stay from session to session

If it's what I was having an issue with it's that you have to choose to have either DLSS on /OR/ AA otherwise it'll turn the other off.

Try deleting
C:\users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\graphicSettings.lsx with the game closed and re-launch it.

I’m using the FSR because my PC is getting old. That said it is my AA that’s always being reset and the FSR settings. I bet it’s connected to the same/similar issue.

Same issue here. Playing on steam deck so I assumed it was limited to that platform at first..

Wow, I should of known this but that was my problem. Thank you!

they reset when you verify game files

The same thing is happening to me now as well. My settings are not saving and resetting every time I exit Steam as well.

It's interesting. My problem was that I was using the FSR and it was getting rid of my settings for the Anti Aliasing.

I'm not sure why it does this though, I can clearly run them both and prefer to. The FSR while helping my GPU and frames, is ugly AF. (Can't get an RTX for awhile so I'm stuck with what I got). Adding the TAA ontop of the FSR makes it look much better. If not a bit blurry. Otherwise the edges are really sharp and jagged. Like from an N64 jagged.

FSR Ultra Quality and TAA looks much better.

Why would it force you to turn one off, or am I missing something?

I have the same thing as you, Chaosolous. I like everything on Ultra (1080 Ti), and to help me with my frames, I just put FSR on Ultra Quality. It works fine, until I reset the game. I always have to reset the AA to TAA.

I like playing games in windowed mode personally, but it keeps reverting the resolution back to full screen. Everything else in settings seems to save, but not the resolution.

mines are sticking accordingly. weird.
the only one i have to re-set every launch is dx or vulkan

*i noticed that turning on DLSS automatically turns off AA though - turning on AA automatically turns off DLSS as well.

Same exact thing I do on the same GPU.

1080 Ti
DX11 render mode
FSR set to Ultra Quality
AA set to TAA, but it resets every single time I restart the game.

I kind of wonder if this isn't getting fixed yet because they plan on implementing FSR2 closer to the PS5 launch and maybe it's not worth their time to fix the AA resetting bug right now.

That’d be nice to have FSR 2. It’s superior in every way. This game has just been a reminder my PC is getting old.
