BEWARE MODS ARE DISABLING ACHIVEMNTS!!!
Okay, this is really stupid. Seriously. I don't see the point. Why doesn't the game Launcher warn about this, even though it has the functionality to determine whether the game is modified or not? Why do the game authors disable the ability to get achievements in the game if you modded it? Why do they care? All the same, mod-makers will enable this function by modding (that is great arony and waste of free-time). It can be enabled with a single line of code. Non-fair play in Private co-op \ single-player game is reason for no getting achievements? Seriously? What if I want to remove the annoying party limit? Or if there are aspects of the game that annoy me and I want to change them to suit me?

What's the point? Why do achievements work if I don't modify the game - but use Cheat Engine, WeMod or any other trainer? Or dev console.

God, any half-wit can use SAM (Steam Achievement Manager), add any achievement, any game from the library and it will still be taken into account by global STEAM statistics and displayed in the player's profile. Even without playing it, lmao

There is no point in this. Really. Only anoing thing for player, modders and develpopers them self (additional codding, time consuming and bugs)

nope, mods don't disable achievements

if you're not getting credit then something else is the reason for it

They used to do that in Divinity Original Sin 2 too... and you needed a mod so they stopped doing that :D

I have the direct opposite opinion to you, and agree with it in place.
As example 1 you mentioned having more in party - that makes it easier to get it - so did not get under the same conditions as others.

If you can add all the achievements you want anyway with SAM, why does this even bother you?, as you are saying they are pointless anyway??

some achievement triggers are bugged and people don't get credit for it, it has nothing to do with mods though

In every game that I play, the mods dissable achiements.
They are achiements! Why would you achieve anything if you cheat with mods?
Normally some mods gets approval to allow achiemements if they are only grapihic, new hat etc that don´t have any ingame boost or features, new music etc.
But any game mechanic mods does and should disable achiemements because you did not achieve those. Your mod did that!

So this is normal! And works like in every other normal game.

Don't care about achievements at all.
Weeb Trash Aug 5, 2023 @ 10:22am
the game literally tells you "achievements disabled" if you install the mods properly.

Weird, I have a lot of platted games, and I run mods on all of them (always cosmetic/graphical). Never once seen a game that disables achievements due to mods.
