Is Expertise for Rouge at Level 1 in BG3?

Seem to to see it anywhere on my Rouge nor was I able to assign expertise in character creation. I thought you can pick to skills for expertise.....

Yes you get expertise. It's not specifically labeled that though.
When you make the character, go to the Abilities tab, then click "Change" under proficiences. You'll see 2 columns for placing your proficiency, 1 for Proficiency and 1 for expertise.

Yes you get expertise. It's not specifically labeled that though.
When you make the character, go to the Abilities tab, then click "Change" under proficiences. You'll see 2 columns for placing your proficiency, 1 for Proficiency and 1 for expertise.

now I am confused. I can't remember doing this. How can I see in my character sheet if I have expertise selected and for which abilities?

The character sheet is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in this game. You will not find expertise listed anywhere. You can only look at skills and it will show you your bonus and you just have to guess at what is adding up to that number. I think the default for Rogue is Sleight of Hand and Stealth so with expertise and a +3 DEX bonus your skill would be +7 for those, at least at level 1.

Expertise isnt listed as a class feature. In the character creator, when you first make the rogue, you follow the steps I listed and you can choose your expertise. You need to pay attention to all the tabs down the left side of the character screen when creating your character and leveling up, so you dont miss choices.
