Is champion worth it?
Seems like a pretty big trade off to turn a 1 in 20 chance to crit into a 2 in 20

You turn a 5% chance into a 10% chance. Additionally you can stack it with other skills to increase it even further.

The easiest class. Simply swing.

Is it really worth it?, assasins has easier crit time so does tadpole user. Critical does easily stack with multiple feat and ability else but how high you can sacrifice for critical chance alone

In the 15th level the chance gets 15% (not in this game). What makes the thing work is that the fighter has also the most attacks per round. It is one of those passives that get better with higher level. Being a passive, it has also no limits on its use.

It is a far cry from what crits meant in D&D 3.5, but it is what the champion gets as his bonus damage mechanic. I used it in Solasta and it was pretty good, keeping in mind that everything was toned down in 5E.

Remember that while cries can be powerful they can also be kinda meh

It seems like everyone likes Battlemaster but I think Champion for this. I'm not good at the maths but doubling your chance to crit seems pretty good.

In D&D, champions are the notorious gambler nukes. Their damage is inconsistent, but when you land those 4 crits in a row, it's juicy.

got questions about half orc racial feature it said you got triple the crit dice with melee weapon so with great sword it will deal 6d6?

as far as I know half orc crit isn't working as defined in character creation. instead rolling damage dice an extra two times for a crit it's rolling them one extra time and rolling one extra weapon damage die. only one... so it's a normal crit plus one weapon damage die... however it does also roll an extra smite die... not even sure if it's intended though. I haven't tried testing sneak attack crits with half orc, but since it's a separate instance of damage dice like smite is.... there might be a chance that it adds one dice to that as well.

tldr
half orc crits are normal crits with an extra weapon die added to damage, and an extra smite damage die added, if your smiting. unsure of any interactions with sneak attack
