Steam Discussions devolve into a cesspool. and my 2 cents about the game.

It's genuinely off putting how people here are.
you have people trolling the forums and succeeding with all the attention they get.
you have fanboys who think nothing can be done wrong by the devs and that their views are the only ones that matter and every other view is trans/homophobic.
Then there's the group who's opposite of that but are also going a bit too far
and then there's people stuck in the middle of all that asking genuine questions or being helpful and being misunderstood for them by the other groups.
staying here is depressing and ruining my mood to play the game so i'm out. but not before leaving my 2 cents about the game. and a friendly reminder

A lot of game designs are INCREDIBLY LAZY. examples:

• Attributes +2 +1, fine. but then they did nothing to make the races on par with the others that got heavily nerfed due to this change
  
• Character customization. well we all know about all the different genital options. which is pretty unprecedented in normal non erotic video games. which has a lot of people complaining. personally i don't care hell i like devs being more daring like this. but part of the reason people complain about it and what i also can somewhat see is that they sacrificed other parts of the customisation to put this in. focused more resources on this then the rest. limited amounts of faces for example. but let me give another example. create a dragonborn and look at all the piercing placements. it's ridiculous how lazily they are just randomly placed along the face of the dragonborn seemingly at random spots.
  
• Lazy implementations of class features. a big example for this for instance is the warlock pact of the tome. It just gives you some garbage hand picked spells. while what it should have done is give you a choice of 3 cantrips from any class spellbook.
  
• Another big complaint people get absolutely slammed over being called homophobic is the relationship system. It's the classically lazy implementation of "the relationship is improving so player must want to have a romantic/intimate relationship" There have bin multiple games that have vastly improved on this with certain dialogue options setting up flags for romance. not just simply being nice to someone.

Quite frankly I often even feel like they made an excuse to release the game early so we could beta test the game for them some more before the actual release over all platforms.

Now the friendly reminder. Don't feed the trolls. and leave each other be. someone having a different view then you is not a bad thing. and that goes both bloody ways. a lot of people really need to grow up.
