Chicken Race glitch?

I was able to the the 300 gold "Big bet" for the chicken race, and even after beating it and intimidating for the prize, I only got the low bet return and am out over 200 gold. Is this a glitch?

I bet 300, did a persuade check to get it. Krolla replies someone stole it, help her find it.
And then the dialogue just ends. She walks off. Doesn't talk about it further. No journal entry.

Dead end?

Check companion inventory, thats where my reward went. Devided between all three.

Thanks! Thought it was a glitch as well but indeed the reward gets split between all characters.
