wich you would need a magic item, or magic to overcome
right-click the enemy creatures and ''examine'' them to spot potential resistances
edit : i checked against some goblins in the goblins camp and my melee damage is normal it's just agains those ghouls and skeletons in the monastery roads that the problem occurs??
Skellies, for example, are famously resistant to piercing damage (like you just poke through their bones), somewhat resistant to slashing damage but vulnerable to crushing damage, i.e. having their bones reduced to dust.
Therefore the wise adventurer will keep a mace, war hammer or something like that in their pack just in case they are ambushed by a bunch of skellies. The wise adventurer knows that skellies don't like maces and war hammers, they don't like them at all.
the value i had were way to low and ALWAYS too low (like 5 or 6 six times in a row). I then loaded a save an hour earlier, got to the same group of monsters and could have 15,12 damages consistently....
thank god it's only an hour before my last save...
edit : i rejust tested and did a 26 on a ghould just like that whereas before it was endlessly 5 or 6....
edit : i just hit a 2 with an arrow.....the minimum is 3..........i'm so sad
It's not a bug, the undead skeleton knight looking mofos have an aura that reduces undead's damage taken in an AOE around them from anything except radiant damage.
You can see it if you mouse over them or examine them.
