A lack of gruff/deep voice actors for the player.

They have some perfect voice actors that could do the role, like the worg voice actors. in general they fit what i'm looking for perfectly. Best one is small klaw.

Right now i'm going as a half orc for my mp run & db for my solo run,The 8 voice actors we have for the mc are fine for the humans & elves but for dwarves,half orcs & db is a bit jarring.

I'll live but i would like to see more varied voice options instead of 8 voice actors sounding fairly similar. overall it is a minor a request when the rest of the game is really solid. aside from the mp issues(dropping of frames & dcs)

I haven't found a npc in the game yet who has a good enough voice for a db unlike the worgs va's for a half orc/gruffer va in general they could use.

Couldn't agree more. The voice selection is surprisingly slim, and quite a few voice sets sound nearly identical.

For such a polished game thats done so well at covering so many bases, its strange that noone pointed this out during the process of making this game, like its so jarring and obvious that half the classes/races should not sound like a standard white man like cmon, they already have all the voice actors in the game, why on earth cant we sound like them?

This drove me insane in Dragon Age: Inquisition as well, and Fallout 4. Why even bother having voiced main characters if your selections are so limited and often you are choosing between "British" and "British but deeper."

Male voice number 7 sounds somewhat gruffer than others, but yeah all the others do sound very similar and are very civilized for lack of a better term. It's not limited to Half-orcs and DB though; for example, it's a bit weird to have the barbarian of any race speak in with a refined British accent:)

Yeah i feel you, no idea why we got slim options when they have a diverse cast of VA's in the game. Like i said Small klaws voice actor would fit so well for those races, Nettie would be a solid choice for the female voice acting options.

Lol my only defense for them would be that the mc isn't fully voiced(if i had to play devils advocate) but the mc does talk fairly often but ya we are in total agreement

Yeah fair point, i was more focused on the races but yeah it can be immersion breaking.

This game is so close to being great but all the little details that weren't added or mechanics changed from 5e really become noticeable. Why no short companions? Why can't rope be used for climbing or tying up knocked out creatures? Why do all the PC voices sound really similar? At this point I'm waiting for the DE, but I don't have my hopes up. I love and respect modders but they shouldn't have to fix big titles, which is a weird expectation in recent big game releases.

But i'm right there with you on you're points, I recently 100% the game so now i'm just waiting for the DE. Which i'm sure we will get a few more party members for "good" play throughs but i doubt we'll get anything for "evil" play throughs.

Another issue for me was the fact we did not get a single monstrous party member, Like a goblin,gnoll,ogre,undead or demons. Nor can we play any of them. I'm just saying if we can play a gith then that's proof of concept that we all don't need to come from baldur's gate.(we get kidnapped before the ship even arrives in that city in the opening cinematic,So not a spoiler)

Just a elf spam(5),3humans,1gith & 1 ling.
We have the tadpole to bend creatures to our will & we have all these checks that we could do to get them to obey us. Hell all a barbarian has to is roar at people to get his way

Anyone notice that female Orc (lieutenant?), in Moonrise Towers? Ketheric's right hand ..er woman?
She has tusks protruding from her lower jaw, yet she sounds EXACTLY like a girl named Daisy, that lives on a prairie and makes gingerbread cookies for the local kindergarten.
