Help with Shadowheart faith leap trial

My first time around, the path was outlined and easy to follow. But I stupidely died by trying to cheat by leaping, and now that I reloaded my save the path isn't outlined anymore. How do I even pass this trial now?!?

I now understand that if you step back, the path will appear. But I just can't do it. I don't have the brain power to remember and visualize the path.

You can use karlach, she can just jump to the ilses almost without help. Only the last jump you need a ledge. Those are in the middle between the two ilses

Yes there was a bit of a trick, as you needed to jump to reach the last island.

I just save scummed it step by step, I couldn't remember where to go xD On my next playthrough I'll jump with Karlach.

I just cast fly on shadowheart, problem solved :)

i just used the spell 'Daylight' that solved the problem rather quickly :D

If you look at the ground you're standing on in front of the sacrificial bowl, you can see a map outlined

I’ve tried both daylight and using Karlach and no matter what I do I keep getting warped back and killed and the tiles don’t stay outlined and the light doesn’t help to show the tiles either. This is so frustrating can anyone help?

if you have a scroll or a potion of flight you can just fly over, thats what i did.

It's just an anti-fun hurdle you have to get over. Shar is all about pain and the devs really took it to heart.

I used Dimension door + Misty step.
Flying or the jump cantrip will work too.

keep seeing comments about, just use flying spells, well that doesn't work at all anymore, I just get killed trying to do that

Left Side Middle to the Left Island.
Left Middle 2 steps, right 2 steps, forward to next left island.
2nd left Island, Right Side, 2 steps forward, 2 Right, 4 forward, jump to last platform. Take Orb.

Cast fly or gaseous form and voila you've won the "trial".

If you forget to let shadowheart put he blood in the alter then the trial doesn't work correctly
