failing to hit someone who is right before u
only 60% of chance to hit an enemy right in front of u? ive missed melee attack 3 times in a row and it was frustrating. good thing was he was missing his attacks as well...lol

its based on your attack and enemy armor class. You can see your attack bonus in your inventory under your AC. So if yours attack bonus plus attacks rolls are lower then enemy´s armor class you will miss your attack. Hope this helps :)

armor class should reduce attack manage, not hit chance.

For some insane reason, your primary stat and the enemies armor are represented as a hit/miss chance.

Infuriatingly dumb, but thats just dice based combat transposed onto a computer.

*shrug* it's how D&D works. regardless of how someone thinks it should or should not work.

Armor class represents the chance of them avoiding or the attack deflecting on armor.
There are other stats that reduce the damage one takes.

This is one thing i hate about D&D game mechanics ...
(I dont like D&D in generell .... when i comes to p&p rpgs D&D feels just "bad" compared to almost every other system i know ... in germany D&D doesnt have a huge fanbase like in the US ... as far as i know ... World of Darkness, Shadowrun and the Black Eye(a German System) are all "bigger" than D&D when it comes to marketshare ... )

Anyway this does not stop me from loving BG3 for everything else ...
