Both are easy to play, Warlocks because their big trick is the Eldritch Blast cantrip which they can spam endlessly so you simply have to blast away at stuff.
Even better than the Warlock is the so-called Sorlock which two or three levels of Warlock and 9 or 10 Sorcerer. This is a beast of a blaster caster but you will need to consult a build guide video for it to make sure you understand how it works.
All class is good as long as you understand what they can do
Super Tanky, Hits Like a Truck, and can do very well in Dialogue.
Just fine a way to Talk to Animals and you can get the most of your first playthrough.
3 melee two-handers with shadowheart support respecced to light domain. SMOrc
The song buff is very potent. Mine currently also heals when I buff. Is that an item?
At least with DND though I woukd probably stay away from wizard on the first play through. Their lack of HP and limited spells on the beginning make them a bit more adept to play well. Though at higher level they can likely burst damage like crazy in an area. If you can trudge through to that point.
Though play whatever you enjoy. This game seems very long. So you may just want to stick with a class you are having fun with.
Sone skill synergies to look for could be a character that can teleport to higher ground and is adept at range attacks.
You could I suppose make a warrior archer for example and at level 4 you can pickup the magic spell fear that lets you teleport. Maybe combine with feather fall. If you are above them and do massive archery damage consistently with a magic bow that could be pretty brutal.
The other characters would be there to draw there attention and keep them busy.
