Idol of Silvanus not giving aura anymore

Hey,
I was wondering if this is intended or a bug, but I stole the Idol after clearing up The Who thing in the grove for the passive aura, but I realized it just randomly stopped giving the aura. Is it supposed to eventually stop working, or did it bug?

Stopped working for me too. I've tried putting it on the ground and picking back up, tried giving to other party members, tried restarting. Nothings working :(

when the idol is in the inventory and you do a long rest, the aura will stop working and sometimes or after using storage (random) your camp will start to attack you.

same goes for dropping it on ground in camp after rest, then they will attack you immediately.

workaround:
put idol in the storage chest in camp or on ground outside of camp, then trigger resting, and get it back afterwards

Ty for the testing, it really sucks as a bug even though there are 0 consequences I’ve seen so far regarding taking it. Nature is some what relevant as a stat, but animal handling I’ve used one time so far that I’ve remembered in 35 hours of gameplay even with constant talk to animals on. You should report the bug for the credit, even though I doubt you’ll get a reward from doing so, but great testing

Did we also have to pass some kind of check because after I took it out I had some random check that I failed, not sure what it was for.

It give you a constant aura around you for you and your teammates of +1 to nature and animal handling checks, so the nature one can be helpful to find like some buried treasure

aura which gives +3 to nature and +3 to animals.

little leaf icon. and its shared around you, so companions get it too.

and when put it back on ground it have the same effect as in beginning in original place, but with the bug, this effect is gone and no little leaf aura icon when in inventory.

and carefully where you drop it on ground, picking it back up counts as stealing, everytime when someone is close.

This happened to me rn and nothing fixes it.

I've come here since I've just realized the aura is gone.
I hope the devs can confirm if this is a bug or an intented effect and there is no point in carrying it anymore.

Theres no point in carrying it at least with no aura, did the entire game with it in inventory pretty much doing everything, and never had a use

This did not work for me tried both methods first no recharge and second with the storage box agroo on pick up

According to the Wiki it is intended:

The idol loses its effect after completing either Rescue the Druid Halsin or Raid the Grove and spending the night in the Campsite.

And the wiki is wrong, I only stole the idol well after killing all the goblins and having Halsin in my camp midway through clearing the cursed area. I was watching grubby and noticed the nice buff you gain from holding it so knew I needed to go snatch it up. It seems you only lose the buff if you keep it on yourself while long resting. Like Kamuel said I was able to reload a prior save after losing the buff and this time I stored the idol in my chest and took my long rest and idol still gives off the aura clearly a bug.
