Yeah i didn't spot it either in final release, i'm assuming they took it out.

Also there was a semi secret area, crossing through the flames is how you could get there.
But it is not just the outer deck they removed, in the EA there used to be a "big jump" part at the start of the game which was used to teach you how to use jump they removed that as well.
I see the point with AA pieces. It makes sense to keep it realistic. Besides, what did they shoot at?
Agreed. I was pleasantly surprised tbh. It's a lot quicker, but does the same job so its a win win really.
The magic 2 hander from the devil guy is still there mind... make sure your all picking this up!
