Best use of savescumming ever.
That said, mentioning "please change this developers!" things in a distributor's web forums seems silly. If you ask here, people will tell you how to get around using what exists.
If you want coding changes (unlikely in a game they are simply doing bugfixes on, not major mechanics additions) then why ask here? Ask on Larian's site, where they might see it?
What the ♥♥♥♥ are you talking about?
It is not.
Yeah, that's no good.
The idea is to have something in the game, not an external guide.
The developers did a dumb thing that needs correcting, not a dumb thing that needs a kludge solution implemented by the end-user.
It's just a quality-of-life issue with the game; it may not be realistic, but it's more fun than having to try dying an item and then reload when the results are unexpected and unwelcome.
Ive been using this to get around the issue, but I still feel like an integrated feature should happen at some point. Other games with dye functions have it so this isnt an unusual ask
I also want a transmog feature, and that was an ask that many people had for original sin 2 which didnt have anywhere close to the customization that bg3 has. There was a mod for it but it worked by swapping appearances through crafting and thats more convoluted than this should be
