Camp Auto-select overusing food?
Title. When I auto select at the camp fire I end up using like 70 food but selecting manually I can get it down to the much more reasonable and required 40 food. The auto-select doesn't seem to be very efficient in terms of making supplies last lol

EDIT: Splitting items down to stacks of 1 causes auto select to work a lot better. Though it is a bit of a hassle to manually split everything.

Looks to me like they wanted to implement automatic splitting of stacks but then didn't actually do it but left the selection in.

auto select is very inefficient tbh, it keeps giving me 2-3 over every time despite there being combinations that would give the number necessary exact.

Ya I'm curious as to why this is? Anyone try using more and see if there is any benefits??? I accidentally used more quick clicking one time and did not notice anything myself...

It seems to happen when you have supplies in different bags, i.e. backpack, camp stash, etc
i hope they fix it, it is a bit annoying to select and deselect everything

That's because it uses everything in the stack. You have to manually split them which is a pain

yep, this is a real thing.

It doesn't really matter, I'm abusing the Camp cycle and I'm never running out of food, like not even close.

Yeah I agree. It would be nice if the auto select actually divided and selected everything properly itself though. At this point I just manually select stuff and anything between 40-50 is fine by me lol

Someone else posted that while it shows 81/40, it doesnt actually use up the additional amount.

So I decided to test this out.

Auto select had all 27 of the Pear looking food, along with 20 units of another food.

I left it at 81/40, and after the rest, checked my bags to see that i still had 14 of the 27 pears left.

Interesting. I should try that.
