Is this kind of blurrines normal?
I don't think that this kind of blurrines is normal. The whole game is kind of blurry, despite of graphics settings in-game and on Nvidia driver level. Especially hairs look awfull. Is it bug or something related to driver? Anyone have similar problem?

this has def been my experience, is there a way to have no blurriness and no weird jaggies or shimmers if i change to high quality? also do i need to restart game to fully see the changes when i mess w those settings?
Running at a very high resolution to screen size ratio. For example, at 4k resolution it should clean up most jagginess. However, it is all engine dependent on how stuff is rendered and it really feels like outside of 4k this game was really meant to be played with a temporal AA solution for best results.

TLDR: Try a very high resolution while disabling anti-aliasing. If it's not clean enough, you're SooL.

thank you. im playing on the steamdeck so im sure its settings bc early access looked great on it for the past few months that ive had the steam deck, worse case i have to play blurry until larian has time to look into it.
thnks for the info, its hard to know what to set everything at when idk what they mean or do lol

You can adjust sharpness in options. I had the same thing where my nvidia card decided I could play on combo of ultra and high settings, but then turned sharpness all the way down for some reason.
I see. Yea I don't have a Steam Deck so I can't provide you with any "optimal" settings.

However, here are a few settings combinations you can try:
- Disable Depth of Field for all the following -

1) Disable DLSS/FidelityFX Sharpening and enable TAA.
2) Enable DLSS/FidelityFX Sharpening(with a good amount of sharpening), enable TAA
3) Enable DLSS/FidelityFX Sharpening(with a good amount of shapening), disable any anti-aliasing.
4) Disable Both DLSS/FidelityFX Sharpening and any anti-aliasing.

Hope this helps.

Edit: After testing, it doesn't allow me to enable DLSS and Anti-Aliasing at the same time so option 2 may not work.

Disabling the amd fsr, and enabling taa helped tremendously! Thank you, I think it was the amd fsr that was messing everything up(idk if that is the dlss you are referring to, on steamdeck it is labeled as amd fsr)

Thank you for your time! Take all the points I can give you

like others have said, turn of depth of field. Absolutely useless settings. Your eyes do it by default..
If you have problem with blurry text
Switch to Double buffering instead of Triple Buffering.
Switch to DLAA anti-aliasing.
That seems to do the trick for me.

Depth of field is a great technique to enhance visual fidelity to images. It's used in photography and filmography. It's also not necessarily (and in my opinion, unlikely) the issue this person is having with blur in their image.

Thanks a lot bro
I don't know if it helps but for a lot of people, including myself, the game gets blurry here and there after a restart. Especially the Text and the Character in Inventory. Every time. I had to switch AA to DLAA for example and then back to TAA with Sharpener in my case. Thats it.
All games have so much blur you have no idea. I can't play without ReShade anymore.
Here is an example of how BG3 looks like with and without ReShade.

Wow, that is the thing I would like to achieve! Is this ReShade a mod for BG or third-party soft?

It's quite simple to install 3rd party solution. Just download it and install it, and choose the exe file of the game.
That's my filters. Aall for sharpness, nothing more. You can set them up as you like.

I don't play any games without it now =)
