My rule of thumb is if it's value is 5x it's weight than it's worth grabbing.

You can grab everything ,basically everything can be sold, if it has a list on it that it has a value, it can be sold (Little gold piece icon)

Pack-rattism is a hell of a drug, can't stop picking random bottles and baskets and cauldrons to sell for pennies. Who needs to move faster than walking speed anyways?

you can sell nearly everyting you pickup. tho alot of it is so valueless that its not worth the effort.
or you can take it all with you and dump it on the floor at your camp and slowly build up a giant "treasure" pile for laughs :P

Yes obsessively pick up everything. Yeah you can sell pretty much everything for at least something but not sure if the crafting is like divinity 2 yet where even the randomest things could be mixed to create some cool/wacky items

Pickung up everything and if ecumbered just send to camp for storage until it gets sold to merch ^^

I pretty much looted all containers and books from the beginning up to when you get to the druid camp. I didn't bother with cutting boards, tin plates and cups tho. I managed to easily spread the load across all characters and am thinking about going back because Morrowind taught me that even if it's only worth 1 Septim or Gold or Copper, it's 1 more than I had.

PS: Please send help.

I pick up everything to sell if it is not as good as the current gear am using. I also try to leave a bit of free weight in case i find something i really want so i don't have to unload a bunch of loot to make space.

No, and even I am loaded with gold. I've no idea what to do with gold in this game.

Pretty much this. Its a very early game Skyrim way of knowing what worth grabbing. XD
Look.
Astarion NEEDS that teddy bear, ok?

I'm trying to restrain myself, but while saying that the loot/junk seems to be worth much more now. For instance I traded in a tea-set and a rusty spoon for a epic bow.
